Privacy notice

How Asbestos Enquiries Somerset treats the information you give us. Updated: 21 October 2026.

In brief

You tell us about a job so that a contractor can respond. We hand the details to that one firm, note that we did so, and do nothing else with them: no selling, no marketing.

Who decides what happens to your data

That is Where's Jeff Ltd (Jersey company no. 166061). Questions about your data go to enquiries@asbestosenquiriessomerset.co.uk.

The information we collect

Please leave medical information and details about third parties out of the description unless the job really needs them.

Our reason for using it

You asked for your enquiry to be passed on, so we pass it on. The UK GDPR basis we rely on is legitimate interests: yours, in getting a reply, and ours, in running the service and keeping proof of what was sent where. If you object, tell us. Anything already passed on stays passed on, but we stop using your information and ask the contractor to do likewise.

Where it goes

To one contractor, a firm holding a current HSE asbestos licence. From then on it looks after your details under its own privacy notice.

Behind the scenes, other providers run the site and the form: Cloudflare hosts the website and receives and stores the form. They handle data only on our instructions. Where that means storage outside the UK, the safeguards UK law demands are in place. Nobody is sold your information or added to a mailing list.

How long it is kept

Twelve months after your enquiry, then it is erased.

Rights and complaints

You are entitled to see what we hold, have errors fixed, have it erased, object to our use of it, or have it restricted. Write to enquiries@asbestosenquiriessomerset.co.uk. If we don't resolve something, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints at ico.org.uk, although we would prefer to fix it first.
